Hood 2 Hood
Our Hood 2 Hood Program was created as another way to bring resources to the people in an exciting way! With this program we go door 2 door in different residential communities in the inner city with vibrant music, a powerful message and important resources related to the area we are in. This is all done while we clean up the neighborhood along the route usually with the help of the kids inside the community. Our Program Lead chooses the zip code and the route which includes a 5 mile radius to cover in the Spring/Summer Season and while volunteers help distribute free items and resources.
This program furthers our exempt purpose as it is used as a way to connect resources to impoverished communities so that families are able to sustain themselves beyond our visit if they are in need. We use our Self, Household & Community Accountability from our mudroots concept as the foundation of this program.
