Meet In The Streets
Our Meet In The Streets Program Is predicated on going directly to the source of high crime areas with resources and a message of unity. This is a 6 week program which starts in the late summer early fall right before the holiday season when we typically start to see an increase in crime and violence. Every Friday for 6 weeks we select different corners within communities in which we gather as many resources as possible (Educational) College & GED information and resources, (Financial) resources Jobs & business start up information, as well as other city wide resources. We add that with performances by local artists and a host of influential guest speakers all focusing on violence prevention & a unified community.
This activity furthers our exempt purpose by providing resources to the people through direct outreach & touches on our mudroot points of Self & Community Accountability.
