Think First Conflict Resolution Program
Our conflict resolution program is a very effective and important program for us. When you think about a vast majority of crimes in the inner city they all stem from people not being able to resolve conflict. Senseless violence, innocent people being killed, babies being murdered these things are becoming far too common in inner cities throughout the country. Many of the "stop the violence" programs in America have proven to be ineffective. Focusing on violence is a reactionary action where focusing on resolving conflict before any violence occurs is proactive and much more effective. Twice a month we partner up with schools & colleges all over the city and work with the youth & young adults with our Think First Conflict Resolution Program. Helping them catch conflict at the early stages and resolve issues before they reach a boiling point is very critical. Twice a month, once with high schoolers and once with young adults we host Conflict Resolution seminars and workshops with a key focus on communication.
This program furthers our exempt purposes by offering direct outreach & programming resources using the Self & Community Accountability points of our Mudroots concept.
